Through my social work career and working with people in their own environment, I can honestly say that I only encountered two people who asked to be placed out of their homes. My sister cared for our elderly mother in her home until she passed to ensure she received the safe, quality care in a loving environment. My husband cared for his elderly mother and did such a great job! Many days, he made sure she took her medicine, but forgot to take his own.
